▸ SnapTracker

Privacy Policy

SnapTracker records football plays on your device. Everything you need to track a game — recording, tagging, statistics, charts and play history — works entirely offline, with no account and no connection, and none of that data ever leaves your phone.

The app also offers two optional connected features. Each is off until you deliberately turn it on, each is described below, and neither is needed to use the app. If you never switch one on, SnapTracker transmits nothing.

What the app does without a connection

  • All football game data is stored locally on your device.
  • Statistics, charts and play history stay private to you.
  • CSV exports are written to a location you choose on your device.
  • No advertising, no analytics SDK and no third-party tracking, ever.
  • No location data is collected.
  • No contacts, photos, microphone or camera access is requested.

The optional connected features

These are the only circumstances in which SnapTracker sends anything anywhere. Each one requires an explicit action by you to enable.

01

Snap-Central account

SnapTracker is free. Registering a free Snap-Central account lifts the app’s usage caps — unlimited plays and games, edit mode and CSV export. There is no purchase in the app.

What is sent
The email address and password you enter, to our authentication provider, Supabase. Once signed in, the app also records a randomly generated install identifier, the app version and a last-seen timestamp, so that a single account being shared across many devices is visible to us.
What is not sent
Your football data. Registering an account does not upload games, plays or statistics.

The install identifier is generated by the app. It is not an advertising ID and not a hardware identifier, and it cannot be used to identify your device outside SnapTracker.

02

Live game sharing

If you pair your device with a SnapCount live game, plays you tag are pushed to a public web page as the game happens, so others can follow along.

What is sent
The play rows for that game, plus the team names and score you entered, to the SnapCount service. The resulting page is public to anyone with the link — that is the purpose of the feature. Only games you explicitly take live are shared.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or any other purpose. The only parties that ever receive data are the service providers named above, acting to deliver the feature you switched on.

App permissions

  • Vibrate — Haptic feedback during play recording.
  • Internet and Network state — Used only by the optional connected features above. With none of them enabled, the app makes no network requests.

Your account, and deleting it

You can sign out of your Snap-Central account at any time from Settings. Signing out removes the account from the app and restores the free usage caps; your football data on the device is untouched.

To delete your Snap-Central account and the data associated with it, email info@snapcentral.app from the address the account is registered under. We delete the account, its authentication record and its install records. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

Deleting your local football data needs no request: uninstall the app, or delete games from within it.

Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as the account exists, and is deleted on request as described above. Live game data pushed to SnapCount is retained with that live game. Local data on your device is retained until you delete it.

Children

SnapTracker is a tool for coaches, analysts and fans, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

Any changes to this privacy policy will be posted on this page, with the date above updated. Material changes affecting what is collected will be noted in the app’s release notes.
