SnapStudio

Film study, frame by frame.

Live — web

Football film isn’t continuous — it’s forty discrete arguments, each a few seconds long, each deserving a pause and a pen. SnapStudio is built around exactly that workflow: frame-stepping that doesn’t stutter on big files, sideline and end-zone angles side by side, and telestration that understands the field plane. It’s early — in active development — and shaped weekly by real film sessions.

On the Screen

SnapStudio Analysis mode: field-plane telestration on paused game film — a yellow arrow and player-highlight rings with the note “Find the space behind the LB” — beside the drawing-tools panel
Telestration that sits on the turf, not floating on the glass — arrows and markers locked to the field plane.
SnapStudio Breakdown mode: a live snap paused on game film with the play tagged run / short / direct / wide left, and the play-by-play log below
Tag every snap the moment you pause it, in the same language SnapTracker uses live on the sideline.
The SnapStudio film library: a cover-flow of game cards with handwritten team names and league sticky-note tabs, “Calanda Broncos at Bern Grizzlies” selected, above a tree of games grouped by league and season with On this machine / My cloud / Shared with me filters and local and team storage meters
Your whole archive in one place, grouped by league and season — what’s on your machine, what’s in the team’s cloud, and what staff have shared with you.
SnapStudio in its light theme showing continuous-film mode: a dense play-by-play timeline spanning a full half of film, with a pass play tagged RPO / complete
Slice hours of continuous film into discrete, tagged plays — dark room or light, your call.

Scouting Report

07 strengths

01

Frame-accurate, even at 5K

A WebCodecs playback engine scrubs high-resolution film frame by frame without the seek-lag that makes browser film study miserable.

02

Every angle of the play

Sideline, end zone, and custom angles grouped per play, with automatic angle detection on import.

03

A pen that knows the field

Freehand, shapes, and text — plus field-plane arrows and player markers that sit on the turf, not on the glass, and a 2D formation HUD.

04

Cut film into plays

Slice continuous film into discrete, tagged plays. The tag system matches SnapTracker’s, so live tags and film tags speak the same language.

05

Local-first

Your film stays on your machine, at full quality — no upload queue and no re-encode between Saturday’s game and Tuesday’s film session.

06

Cloud when you want it

Upload the games you need to share and leave the rest local. Your staff get the film; you keep the archive.

07

Tuned for your hardware

Quality presets and memory controls so the same session runs on the film-room tower and the travel laptop.
